
Teriyaki Meatballs
Serve over brown rice and a side of veggies for a complete and balanced meal!
Ingredients
Meatballs
- 2 lbs Ground Turkey
- 1/2 cup Bread Crumbs
- 1 Egg
- 2 Green Onions Thinly Sliced
- 2 cloves Garlic Minced
- 1 Tbsp Ginger
- 1 Tsp Soy Sauce Low-Sodium
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
Sauce
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Ginger
- 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
- 3 Tbsp Honey
- 1/3 cup Water
- Sesame Seeds Optional; to garnish
- Green Onions Optional; to garnish, chopped

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400° F. In a large bowl, combine ground meat, bread crumbs, eggs, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and pepper. Using a spoon or clean hands, stir until well combined.
- Roll the mixture into 1 1/4- to 1 1/2-inch meatballs. Place meatballs onto baking sheet sprayed with non-stick spray and bake until golden brown and cooked through, about 20-25 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and 1/4 cup water; set aside.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, add soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic powder, honey, and ⅓ cup water; bring to a simmer. Add cornstarch into mixture and stir until thickened enough to coat the back of a spoon, about 2 minutes.
- Toss meatballs immediately with teriyaki sauce, garnished with green onion and sesame seeds, if desired.
